About The Presenters

Salleh H. Abdul Rashid is currently a lecturer at the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia. His teaching experience include teaching survival English to Vietnamese and Cambodian refugees in the United States, teaching English as a Second language at various secondary schools in Malaysia, and teaching English proficiency courses to university students at Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia. He has been involved in teacher training since 1994. As a linguist, he is interested in Human Language Technology and its application in language teaching and consumer products.

As a HAM radio operator, Salleh enjoys experimenting with various portable wireless communication setups for emergency and disaster relief purposes. He is also a member of Malaysian Amateur Radio Emergency Service Society (MARES), and has been involved in several disaster relief and search and rescue operations.
