John ‘Kanen’ Flowers (Creator, kane|box)

Presentation Title Introducing kane|box
Presentation Abstract

In this talk I will introduce kane|box – an open source vulnerability and exposure framework which uses statistical information, probability and inference to find new and existing security issues. I will walk through:

- The state of network security (today)
- The imagined future of security
- The problems with existing tools and techniques and a detailed overview of how and why kane|box was created
- How to use kane|box to find vulnerabilities and exposures.

Finally, kane|box will be released at the event.

About John

John Flowers (“kanen”) was the founder of nCircle Network Security and the creator of IP360. He has been hacking for over two decades and is responsible for dozens of patents and technologies in network security, the search space and video and special effects. His approach to technology is controversial and often considered fringe (or, sometimes, “insane”).
