Dr. Husameldin Mukhtar Assistant Professor, University of Dubai

Dr. Husameldin Mukhtar received his Ph.D. degree in electrical and computer engineering from Khalifa University, Abu Dhabi, UAE. He obtained the B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in electrical engineering from the American University of Sharjah, UAE. Prior to his graduate studies, he worked as a Project Engineer in the field of electronic security and video surveillance in Dubai, UAE.
After obtaining his PhD, he joined the Visual Signal Analysis and Processing Research Center at Khalifa University as a Post-Doctoral Research Fellow. Currently, he is an Assistant Professor in electrical engineering at University of Dubai. He is also a member of Mohammed Bin Rashed Research Space Center (MBRSC) Lab supervisory team. Dr. Husameldin is currently the Chair of Communications and Signal Processing Joint Chapter, IEEE UAE Section. His research interests include wireless communications, error control coding, and image/video analysis and processing.
