In the ever-evolving landscape of cybersecurity, the role of hackers is often misunderstood. Yes, we break into systems. But we equally desire to improve the world of technology.<\/p>\n

Since I started 20 years ago, companies’ attitude towards ethical hackers have flipped from hostility to embrace.<\/p>\n

Our attitude towards “the company” has evolved less, often stuck in the echo chamber where “the management” consciously chooses less-secure technology for short-term profit. As if managers could tell the difference \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n

The keynote revisits how far we have already come in co-evolving through technology mutation and hacking selection. We emphasize how communication makes all the difference and calls for more Robin Hoods on the Internet.<\/p>\n
